Title: How is it that some people still deny climate change?
Post by: allegrif on December 03, 2015, 03:19:29 PM
When it's so obviously very ,very real? And it isn't just a small spattering who don't believe in it - a quick trawl of the comments section in many major online publications shows that this is a widespread ignorance. Why do you think this is? Is it just that people don't want to believe in it?

If enough significant figures deny it, then it makes it a lot easier for other people to justify it for themselves. Then when people see both significant figures and their acquaintances deny it, it may seem even less plausible to them.
