Can I sell the excess SPV energy to an energy company?

Where to start...

I have a property in London which I now rent out, it has SPV front and back, however, due to the lack of guidance from the installer, I missed the FIT (any help there would be great also). I was mis-sold the panels and the system and had to re-mortgage the property and move out to fund them. I've decided to see if I can sell the energy produced to an energy company but not sure if this is possible.

So, the question I have is, how do I go about, or is it even possible to sell the excess energy to an energy company? Is it just a case of calling them all up and offering my energy, finding out the rate and going for the best rate?

I have decided to move the north facing panels to my Bristol house and am currently looking for a company to help with that transition also (any help there would be great also!), to maximise the potential of this opportunity, depending on the outcome above.

In short, maybe. Under the SEG scheme.
Unfortunately, the FIT (feed in tariff) closed for new applications last year, though if you were lucky enough to be registered prior to this, you will continue to receive the benefits.
It is a crying shame that the incentives to install solar seem to be dropping worldwide, one supposes in line with the dropping of prices of the panels themselves due to advances in the technology.
The Renewable Energy Hub is a great one for information and reasonable solar installation pricing if you're in the South/South West of England.
