Do you have LED street lights where you live?

We were the first street in town to have LED street lights, and slowly the entire area is adopting them. Personally I am not a great fan. While the light they emit is far superior to normal sulpher street lights, it is weird walking around what feels like floodlight streets, and the lights are so bright that after raining it can give me difficulty sleeping.

I actually don't really know what LED street lights are to be honest. What do they look like? How can you differentiate? Perhaps you could upload a picture?

If I haven't noticed them here, I guess that means we don't have them  :P

I'll try to upload a picture when it gets dark.

LED lights produce a very pure white light, rather than a sort of yellow/orange from older streetlights. They are also a lot brighter in my opinion, and it almost feels as if the street is being floodlit.

Hi, this is an old post, but I want to say in my hometown a lot of streets have solar streets lights.

I actually have LED lights supported by solar power and i kind of liked it in the beginning because i am a fan of high light but i sort of got dimmed with the passage of time. To solve your problem i will suggest to use heavy curtains for your windows.
