However, solar is still twice as costly to produce as natural gas and better technology is still needed for electric vehicles to make them competitive replacement options (Dezikes, 2016). "Many countries consider improvements in energy-efficiency and development of renewable energy as two of the most effective measures for addressing environmental and climate changes while ensuring economic growth, as renewable energy becomes the key, not only to development and social well-being, but also to the future sustainable economy" (Saad & Talab, 2018).
