An old post I know, so sorry for dragging it up. But, I usually use the collected water for dry seasons and flowers. Nothing special, but saves me using the household water.

Did you ever find out about this? I know when I worked for a company with large water tanks, they needed to be cleaned once or twice a year.

This, again. I would be constantly worried that the water I sold would cause issues.
