FIT Payments

Hello all,
This is my first post & I have had Solar panels fitted for nearly 5 years now & my FIT payments have been paid to me via British Gas.
I have over time become increasingly annoyed at BG as they insist in sending me a cheque for payments. I have contacted BG on numerous occasions over the past 4 years to ask if they could make my payments by Electronic Transfer but they just respond with the same email response of " It is not available, but we are considering it".
This has been going on for over 4 years now & it is obvious BG have no intention of improving the payment system.
At the moment it is 4 weeks since I submitted my last reading, I received the cheque 3 weeks later & posted it immediatly & now awaiting my bank to pass into account, I realise it is festive holidays so additional delays.
Quetion is Do I have to use BG for FIT payments or am I free to move as with Energy Suppliers so I can receive a better FIT Payment turn around.
Any help appreciated.
