Senior Manager, Technical Solutions Nationwide UK

This position is responsible for leading a technical and product strategy in the UK working with sales and engineering teams to expand our solar (PV) business opportunities. Develop and forge relationships with system integrator partners, independent engineering companies, suppliers and financiers to increase the companies competitive value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to enhance product and service offerings.
  • Develop tailored action plans with detailed proposals to meet new opportunities.
  • Generate specific new opportunity analysis and aid in customer and project sales strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategy to expand value proposition to customers and financiers.
  • Aid customers and other stakeholders with preliminary project planning and design, LCOE modeling and optimisation strategies.
  • Assist with the pre-sale proposal materials and presentations.
  • Lead and support post-sales customer activities when needed.
  • Prepare and speak at national, regional or local events and workshops.
  • Develop productive relationships with the technical community to better prepare for changes.
  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows as needed.
  • Work closely with sales to identify and provide needs based solutions, quantitative analysis, and sales tools to help win business.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% both within and outside of the UK.

Requirements:    

A Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other quantitative studies. Preferably 5-10 years experience in PV or energy power sector. A broad engineering and business acumen background with ability to solve technical and strategic issues. High proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint/Word and the Microsoft Office products plus PVSyst and AutoCAD are preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others. Interested in and capable of performing technical training. Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

As Graduate Account Manager you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business growth and supply a pipeline of opportunities.  Through strategic lead generation- where you map and profile different small to medium businesses who will benefit from working with the business, outbound lead qualification, booking new business meetings, profiling and researching potential clients and selling directly across the UK markets you will have a real impact upon the organisation. In addition to this, you will also receive warm marketing qualified leads and enquires from varous sources and partners. You will endeavor to to maintain these leads are check that they are fully qualified before passing them onto the sales team or booking a face-to-face appointment.

 

The business operates a mentoring scheme where you will work closely with an experienced Account Executive on a portfolio of 80 business prospects. You will learn the ropes and develop the core skills that will enable you to do the job successfully.
