Senior Manager, Technical Solutions Nationwide UK

This position is responsible for leading a technical and product strategy in the UK working with sales and engineering teams to expand our solar (PV) business opportunities. Develop and forge relationships with system integrator partners, independent engineering companies, suppliers and financiers to increase the companies competitive value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to enhance product and service offerings.
  • Develop tailored action plans with detailed proposals to meet new opportunities.
  • Generate specific new opportunity analysis and aid in customer and project sales strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategy to expand value proposition to customers and financiers.
  • Aid customers and other stakeholders with preliminary project planning and design, LCOE modeling and optimisation strategies.
  • Assist with the pre-sale proposal materials and presentations.
  • Lead and support post-sales customer activities when needed.
  • Prepare and speak at national, regional or local events and workshops.
  • Develop productive relationships with the technical community to better prepare for changes.
  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows as needed.
  • Work closely with sales to identify and provide needs based solutions, quantitative analysis, and sales tools to help win business.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% both within and outside of the UK.

Requirements:    

A Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other quantitative studies. Preferably 5-10 years experience in PV or energy power sector. A broad engineering and business acumen background with ability to solve technical and strategic issues. High proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint/Word and the Microsoft Office products plus PVSyst and AutoCAD are preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others. Interested in and capable of performing technical training. Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Regional Sales Manager NE England

Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Director and will manage a team of Outside Energy Consultants.

He or she will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and delivering required targets, working cross functionally with other departments and prioritising team work load. The ideal candidate will have experience from a solar or renewable energy company, have stellar communication skills, and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach a team of Outside Energy Consultants to exceed sales goals
  • Run weekly sales reports to track regional sales trends and productivity
  • Develop recommendations for organisational and process improvements to ensure efficient selling practices
  • Manage and prioritize daily work load
  • Conduct weekly team meetings
  • Prepare and present weekly forecast to Regional Sales Director
  • Manage the administrative process of the sales team, to ensure documentation is obtained and submitted promptly to the rebate and incentive and interconnection departments
  • Coach on Software Work with the recruiting team to screen and hire new team-members
  • Recognise outstanding performers and mentor those who are not delivering required targets
  • Liaise with the Regional Sales Director, Sales Operations, and Marketing team on lead volume and quality Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university Minimum of 2 years sales management experience required Effective demonstration of sales process, able to identify buying criteria, eliminate objections, and develop solutions to close the sale Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills Knowledge of the solar industry is a bonus; experience in a high tech, construction, or renewable energy company highly preferred Experience in a fast-paced, customer facing environment Ability to organise, prioritise and effectively multi-task daily and meet deadlines Assertive, confident and clear communicator - via e-mail, phone and face-to-face Excellent PC aptitude including CRM skills and Google applications Highly proficient with desktop applications such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Office, and Internet Explorer including an ability to learn new IT systems Frequent travel within the Region Clean driving licence Must have valid drivers license Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Excellent customer service skills required.
