Solar Panel Installers in Bradford
Bradford is a city that is located in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. It forms a major part of the West Yorkshire urban conurbation and has a population of approximately 2,400,000. One of the most distinctive features about Bradford is its architecture which is more often than not constructed entirely in local stone and for this reason many of Bradford’s buildings are of special historical significance and, indeed, at least 5,800 of them are officially listed buildings. Bradford also has a total of fifty eight conservation areas. Bradford rose to industrial prominence in the nineteenth Century, along with nearby Leeds, because of its strong tradition in textile production and, in particular, woollen cloth manufacture. In common with many other British cities that prospered during the industrial revolution, Bradford’s economic status went into sharp decline in the latter half of the Twentieth Century because of the influx of cheap textiles, especially from India and Pakistan. However, recent years have seen something of a revival in Bradford’s fortunes economically with sectors such as information technology, financial services, digital industries, environmental technologies, cultural industries, tourism and retail headquarters and distribution setting up within the city. This regeneration of the city has also stimulated the building trade, not only for the production of new business premises but also of new housing and along with this has come a perceived need to make offices and residential dwellings more energy efficient and green. Part of this green revolution has been the growth in the solar power installation sector which has seen many new businesses spring up offering solar power installation in recent years. Indeed, in 2013 plans to build a solar farm located close to Bradford was announced that would make it one of the largest solar farms in the UK. “The new application is for 1,000 solar panels which can each produce 250 watts of electricity,” said the firm’s technical of the farm director Julian Haddock. “This has only been done on a relatively small scale in the Bradford area before and this will be the first proper solar farm in the district,” Mr Haddock said. One of the leading suppliers of solar panel installers within the Bradford region is Solar Power Systems who estimate that Electricity prices are predicted to rise by over 60% over the next 5 years. This, they argue is one of the main reasons why many people in Bradford are taking the sensible steps and transferring their energy supplies to solar power. Another solar panel installer in Bradford, Greenacres, has said that ‘supplying and installing Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) systems, we offer a dedicated installation service that concentrates on quality of product, finish, customer satisfaction as well as offering superb value for money.’ Bradford might still be considered by some to be part of the ‘grimy North but the truth is the people and businesses of the city are amongst the leaders in the country when it comes to green energy and power generation.
