Just inherited a biomass boiler when we moved house. Decided to get a maintenance visit. Astonished at the price quoted as 350 plus vat and all he seemed to do was hoover out the ash. Is it worth doing and if so can it be done cheaper? Also they charged 12 plus vat to register to Hetas but when i queried why (not on rhi) i didn't get any sensible answers. Appreciate any advice or other users experience
