The Biomass Energy Centre

The Biomass Energy Centre The Biomass Energy Centre is the UK government information centre for the use of biomass for energy in the UK. Funding for the Biomass Energy Centre Inquiry Service has now come to an end. It is therefore with great regret that we announce that we are unable to continue to provide this service. We hope that this website, and the literature and links available through it, will continue to provide information and answer any questions you may have.

The Micropower Council

IPA - Scotland

The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE)

The BCSE is a coalition of companies and trade associations from the energy efficiency, natural gas and renewable energy sectors, and also includes independent electric power producers, investor-owned utilities, public power, commercial end-users and project developers and service providers for environmental markets

                                 

 

British Hydropower Association

The British Hydropower Association (BHA) is the professional trade body representing the interests of the UK hydropower industry and its associated stakeholders in the wider community at regional, national and global levels.

                                 

 

Association Of Energy Producers

Energy UK is the trade association for the energy industry. The Environmental Agency are an Executive Non-departmental Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Their principal aims are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development. Ofgem

Ofgem is the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets. We are a non-ministerial government department and an independent National Regulatory Authority, recognised by EU Directives. Our principal duty is to protect the interests of consumers, both present and future. The Department of Energy & Climate Change RESTATS

This web site holds statistical information on renewable energy projects from the following data collection activities undertaken by Ricardo-AEA on behalf of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC): RESTATS, the Renewable Energy STATisticS database, contains performance statistics on all relevant renewable energy sources in the United Kingdom. REPD, the Renewable Energy Planning Database, tracks the progress of projects from inception, through planning, construction and operational phases These projects are key to assessing the success of the renewable energy technologies and progress to targets introduced in the 2009 Renewable Energy Directive.
