I am a member of a small group of 4th year engineers from the University of Glasgow who have been tasked with proposing a low-carbon energy solution which will provide 2/3 of a small town's total energy requirements. From this specification, we chose Kirkwall in Orkney. The project would include an Enhanced Geothermal System and district heating scheme. It is therefore of interest to us to gauge the opinion to this solution. If it is possible, could I ask you to complete our short survey? I have completed this myself and can confirm this will take no more than 5 minutes of your time whilst being of great assistance to us.

Should you have any other questions regarding the project or our solution, please don't hesitate to contact us.

You can find the survey here:

Kind regards,
Ross Williams.
