Hi,

Does anyone know what kind of government grants are available for insulation at the moment? I know it was a big thing a couple of years ago, but it all seems to have gone quite quiet recently and I was wondering whether that's because things have slowed down with it a little bit. Are there still schemes out there that would enable me to have my home insulated for free, or at least at a reduced cost?

Things have slowed down, but that doesn't mean you won't get anything at all. Even if they might not want to pay for the whole amount, they will at the very least pay a little towards it so that you won't have to cover the full cost. An internet search should help you a little bit, but be wary of scams, there are some companies who will ask for a non-refundable deposit and then let you know that actually, you're not eligible at all.
