Wind Turbines / Re: adding a wind turbine to home?

Hi there,

It all depends on the what wind speed you get on average, it takes a good wind usually for wind turbines to make power
25kmh+ before they really start up. I wouldn't recommend having it near or on your house as these smaller turbines make alot of noise and vibration which travels alot. If you youtube "50 amps peak" you will find my youtube channel "off grid amps"
it will show you a few turbines and their output on a windy day, the ones I have are chinese 500w,400w x 2.

Hope this helps Jon

Hi there,

It sounds like you are overloading the turbine, but I would need to see the type of turbine you have to know for sure
but you would want to use maybe a 300w resistor instead otherwise there may be so much resistance so the turbine cant turn or turn slowly.
Are you using batteries also ?

I have 3 chinese turbines 500w, 400w x 2
Theres alot of fake turbines out there from china you got to make sure the turbine
is legit usually by reviews.I have a youtube channel but I cant post a link here, so if u youtube "50 amps peak" it should come up 2nd
page is called Off Grid Amps

I cannot see the pic's attached , if you have 3 connections on the istabreeze controller then it has a rectifier built in usually this would be the case.
what sort of turbine do you have ?

Not sure if you got sorted with this, If your turbine has two wires it has a built in rectifier so it can be directly connected to a battery.
The "controller" you have is for a AC power Turbine 3 wires, not sure why this is the case maybe they sent u the wrong turbine ?
what kind of turbine do you have ?

I have a few videos on youtube, if you do a search for "50 amps peak" on youtube you will find my page off grid amps , I have three Chinese turbines .
hope it will help you out.
