Monitoring energy

Hi there,

I wonder could someone help. I have solar 3.75kw. (max 3kw for some reason). I also have an old energy monitor similar to this, connected to the electricity "in" cable.

My question, what is this showing? electricity consumed or exported, either, both or none!

Presently on a cloudy day, 46w solar generation (from inverter), with the house ticking over, it is showing 873w. How to interpret this?
