Hi I wonder if anyone can help.

I moved into a new build with solar panels in March. Every morning I have been woken by a donging/clicking noise.

It happens daily between about 6 (summer) and 9 (winter) but not at any specific time and it always has exactly the same pattern (not irregular).

I didn't think it could be to do with the solar but just as an experiment I turned the inverter off and it has stopped happening.

Anyone any idea the cause/solution? Many thanks

It is indeed the Solar Panel Inverter, the individual panels are switching on as the sun comes up & you can hear the relay contactors operating.
I had exactly the same situation after installation & asked the contractors to return & reposition the Inverter to another area within the loft on the other side of the house.
