Solar Panels, one of the best things we ever did

Seriously, when we were building our own house, we had been looking at all sorts of ways to ensure we used renewable sources.  One of the ones I insisted on was solar panels, and it is the best thing we did.  Yes, they were an outlay but we had included them in our budget (we were fortunate enough to be able to use the proceeds of a couple of house sales to do this)
We are already saving on our energy bills, and we have other renewable sources in the property

I would really like to get solar panels - it seems like a straightforward thing to do in terms of energy saving and renewable sources of energy.  I am looking at getting some quotes in for this, but I do know that I am going to get widely different prices.  How do you decide who to go with?
