Hi all,

I am a Geography student at the University of Southampton, currently undergoing research for my dissertation topic titled 'How feasible is the mass implementation of photovoltaic technology in the UK?'
I am a big supporter of PV technology and want it to succeed in the UK. If any existing users of solar panels in the UK would be willing to take 10 minutes to complete my survey, it would be of huge use to my research!

Many thanks,
Dan.

Not sure if you fully understand how Feed in Tariff works.  Home owners get paid for what the system generates, not what goes back to the grid.  It makes no difference to you payments if you use the electric or not.
Also, the question about generating enough for going through the night is only relevant to PV owners with batteries, otherwise the excess just goes back to the grid.
