I know nothing about this kind of thing, but I've been told this is something to be looked into - so tell me about it, what sort of performance will I get, what sort of saving on my bills etc

Hi Heather,

There will be a few variables to consider. Location. South facing? Pitch of roof. Shade.
Our 34° South facing solar hot water panel saves us €500 per year in fuel cost and has worked consistently since installation 14 years ago.
It will undoubtedly be economic, but how economic will depend on those variables.
When we move, we will have another system. It's cheaper than photovoltaic and your payback will be much quicker.
