Chris and his team installed our system at the beginning of the summer. For a period of time we were completely off grid, showing that the calculations regarding consumption and the correct sized system were correct. From the initial query to the order and during installation communication was good, keeping us updated on delivery progress (we knew that there were extended lead times on the panels and more so on the battery) and handover when the system was live. Overall, a great service and communication which has helped put us in a strong position given the increasing energy costs.

Chris installed our new solar panels and battery system in Newquay. We are delighted with his work. He is a very tidy worker and has clearly taken much care with the installation. I knew a little about Solar, had a rough idea what I wanted. Chris was a great help, not pushy, not on the phone all the time. The site visit was booked in quick and Chris was a pleasure to deal with, answering all the question in simple terms. Fitting took two separate days and very tidy. I highly recommend CS Electrical.

This was not a standard project. Chris was knowledgeable and helpful in the design, clearly explaining what was feasible and what not. He had to liaise with builders and roofers, which was seamlessly done. He installed panels and batteries quickly and cleanly; a car charger; water heaters; and all the relevant wiring (tons of it). He installed the software for controlling all these things and then commissioned the entire system. The system has been running perfectly for several months now and I am very pleased with it.

We upgraded our vehicle through my company’s electric vehicle scheme via Octopus EV and required a charger installed at my property. Unfortunately Octopus were unable to complete an install due to groundwork that was apparently required due our garage / parking space being a fair distance from our property, meaning significant upheaval and additional cost. We reached out to CS Electrical based on numerous recommendations to see whether they could help - they were able to assess the situation and provide a solution to what we thought was going to be a real issue. Chris talked us through the options and recommended a Zappi GLO charger that was app based with RFID and WiFi connectivity, therefore not requiring the works originally suggested by Octopus. Communication and workmanship were excellent and would highly recommend CS Electrical to anyone requiring this type of work doing.

Chris came to our home on a recommendation from a friend he had recently worked for as we were looking into the possibility of installing solar panels to reduce our bills. We had quotes from 2 other larger Newquay based companies, one was very expensive, and the others communication was really poor, and they were pushing cheaper brands, so we lost confidence in their ability to actually deliver a decent job. We also had a quote from a national company but the quote they provided was really not accurate, they weren't interested in sending someone to survey, despite us telling them they could not fit what they thought from google earth! Chris however was a pleasure to deal with, helpful, knowledgeable, took our input onboard and designed an installation that met our needs. In the end we went with solar panels, battery storage and a car charger as an EV was on the horizon, and we are so happy with the work him and his team have done. This was not a cheap job, Chris was not the cheapest of our quotes, but he suggested quality brands and did the job right, taking such care in his work we can see why he is in demand. This is testament to you get what you pay for, he takes such pride in every aspect of his business. If you are looking for solar panels designed specifically for you, taking into account the complexities of your house and someone to take the time to do the job right then you don't need to look any further than Chris and CS Electrical & Renewables. We initially had solar installed by another Cornish company around 18 months ago and sadly it was a terrible experience. We discovered the installation was so poor that it didn’t even comply with the manufacturer’s warranty, and in the end, after 4 months of pursuing them, the whole system was removed. It was a very cumbersome and stressful time that involved navigating our way through an industry that we didn’t know. We then got in touch with Chris Selby, from CS Electrical and Renewables, a local solar installer and the difference was incredible. From the very first visit he was professional, honest, and it was evident he had the technical knowledge. Chris took the time to explain everything properly, designed a system that was suitable for our home and needs, and carried out the installation with care and attention to detail. We also received a handover pack, something we had never received from the first solar installer. The end result is fantastic — everything is neat, works perfectly, and most importantly, it’s been done to the proper standard so we finally have peace of mind. Chris completed the install himself, with no subbing of work / third parties involved. After such a bad start with our first install, we honestly couldn’t be happier with the work Chris has carried out. We highly recommend Chris to anyone considering having PV installed.

Chris arrived to fit my solar panels and quickly established I need a roof replacement first as my roof was past it’s sell by date showing me pictures of the state of my tiles. My installation was put off until my roof was replaced, Chris could have gone ahead and fitted my panels without telling me about the roof which in the long term would have been much more expensive. After the roof was replaced Chris returned with his team and fitted my panels with top quality materials minimal fuss, very neat, thorough and tidy and then explained how the app worked. I would recommend CS electrical to anyone.
