Ecohill Renewable Energy Solutions

TH Companies, a business established in 1985, has expanded and diversified to meet the needs of their loyal customers. They offer a range of electrical services that include supplying, installing and maintaining solar panels, energy-saving lighting solutions and electric vehicle charging points. In 2011, Ecohill Renewable Energy Solutions was created to manage the increasing demand for renewable energy.

Ecohill is a family-owned and managed company, with nine full-time employees, five of whom are family members. They carry out all installations and associated works using their own full-time, permanent employees, except for scaffolding services. They are based in Colchester, Essex and serve local, regional and national markets, with no geographic limitations.

Solar energy is Ecohill's primary technology, and since 2011, they have been responsible for more than 130 domestic installations, generating around 455kWp of renewable energy, and 35 commercial installations, generating approximately. Their installations range from the smallest domestic to the largest commercial, all of which were placed on existing properties.

Ecohill also supplies and installs energy-saving lighting solutions for domestic and commercial customers. They recently helped Alstons Upholstery in Colchester reduce their lighting power consumption by 60%. The team has completed a training programme that enables them to install electric car charging points across the region.

Ecohill's most significant achievement was earning a zero score in their REAL audit and being nominated for the Installer Award by the REAL auditor, followed by winning the Installer of the year 2013 award, making them one of the top installers in the country. They are proud of their contribution to the UK's renewable energy requirements and are eager to increase their impact on the adoption of one of the fastest-growing and cleanest energy technologies.
