Time wasting prospects

Hi, wondering if anyone had any suggestions or experience around eliminating the time wasting clients for installers? frequently having where I've been led on a wild goose chase for no end result. I have been using Greener Guide, which is a useful software for my website that I would reccommend, but didn't know if there was anything else out there?
