Advice re photovoltaic panels

Hi All,

We have a water leak beneath our solar pv panels. They were installed less than ten years ago and would normally be covered under the decennial insurance here in France. However, the company went into administration five years ago. Their lawyers have told me their are many outstanding claims which will take several years to sort out. I'll probably not get any money back for the repairs which I'll have to pay for.
The redecoration is covered under our building insurance.
So, I want to remove the panels, replace the roofing felt (the panels have to be integrated into the roof in France) and reconnect. Is there anything that I can do to improve the efficiency of the panels when re-installing them, apart from giving them a polish, although they don't seem to get dirty?
I have a 16 panel 4kwh system. I don't think that I can change the panels for a better panel as too high an increase in energy generated would be suspicious to EDF. I don't know how they are connected (series or parallel) at the moment.
From my records, the generation is fairly consistent being over 3200kwh per year with a high of almost 3600kwh in 2018 and a low of 2800kwh in 2015.
