Do you consider wind turbines an eyesore?

There are some specific places that I do consider them an eyesore, especially the ones near Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. But as a general rule I don't, especially single turbines.

I seem to be pretty alone in this regard, and I wonder if there are any other wind turbine lovers here, I even used to travel quite far to seek them out as there are very few in the Thames Valley.

I don't think so at all. Done right, I actually think they add some extra beauty to the countryside. I don't really understand the people who hate them - I'd much rather live half a mile from a wind farm than a stinking coal-fire power plant.

I couldn't agree more, though I'm actually not that fussed about cooling towers either :P

Didcot power station can be seen for 15-20 miles in some directions, very few wind turbines have such a large impact as that does.

What kind of power station is Didcot?

Didcot has(or should I say had) 2 power stations on one site, the coal station which was demolished, and a gas fired station which is still there.

Yes, I have never seen a beautiful view and thought that a wind turbine would improve it
