Green roof manufacturers, suppliers and installers will usually offer a form of warranty or guarantee (covering material – waterproofing, irrigation etc – and labour) for a defined period, rather than for the lifespan of the green roof and wall installations. The green roof’s vegetation itself is often excluded from the installer’s/manufacturer’s warranty, as the lifespan of this is largely dependent on the site’s specific characteristics and ongoing maintenance.
